The Shannon

Shannon is one of the most beautiful women I know. She’s beautiful inside and out. She is real and blunt and never boring. She spits out wisdom and laughs at everything I say all at the same time- that’s a total win win for me! I was so excited when I got to take her shopping, mostly because it was great to hang out with her and to get to know her better.

After the go-ahead from her husband and the scheduling stars aligning; we planned for a wardrobe revamp revamping the closet + shopping! We started at 9:00am.

Together we went through every single item; dresses, pants, shirts, jackets, shoes and the lack of jewelry! We separated the worn out items for goodwill and took out the items that were too big. Some of the “too big” items were still worth keeping. I measured and pinned her and they are being brought to Alexis for tailoring. Total money saver!!

This is a dress that Shannon (and her husband) absolutely love but she didn’t have the right accessories for it. We found some great accessories to help bring this forgotten dress back to the front of her wardrobe.

Shannon is a shoe fiend. I love every ounce of it! We went through and kept a few different pairs and bought some new outfits to build around them. We also made a list of shoes that she will invest in later. I like to leave each client with a “future” list so that they avoid unnecessary purchases.

After about an hour and a half we left for the mall! We started in H&M. I feel you get more for your money there, and they just put out all their new spring items!

Every wardrobe needs tee shirts that can be worn plain and dressed up with jewelry. I recommend always having a black one and white one. She chose some great pastels that compliment her completion and jazz up a basic outfit.

Blush is definitely the color for spring and Shannon wears it so beautifully. We went crazy with the blush- so worth it!!

Shannon can also wear every single shade of blue. Before we left her house we had both agreed she needed a blazer. Well hello, we left with two – navy and black! Pictured below she is wearing the navy blazer, with a light blue oxford shirt underneath.

This oxford type shirt can be worn a million different ways! This shirt would look beautiful with white pants, black jeans, blue jeans, paired with the blush skirt, tied up, tucked in, left out, or even over a bathing suit.

Now to dress up her wardrobe a little bit…

Shannon is a momma of three, and an excellent one at that! When she isn’t running her kids all over, she is running her own DoTERRA business and oversees the Children’s Ministry at our Syracuse campus. We found items to easily dress up her existing wardrobe and to compliment every purchase you see.

This skirt is so simple to wear – if we ever get spring weather – but transitions so simply with tights for the fall and winter months.

You can never ever go wrong with this silk-like black tank! So versatile; from wearing alone with jeans or throwing under a blazer!

This red coat is so different from anything Shannon has ever owned! My goal with each client is to have them try a different item they normally wouldn’t choose for themselves. She ended up loving the color, however, they didn’t have her size. The fact that she loved it as much as I did made the entire trip worth it.

I said above that Shannon is a shoe fiend… here are 2 pair that we left with, both for under $90.00 total! I love both! I would totally own both too – haha.

My time with Shannon was a blast. We talked, we laughed, we shopped I want to do it again and again!
